I reeeeeeeaaaaaaaally want a hamster?

but my mom wont let me get one because its related to rodents like rats and she hates rats. I own a snail, a cat (well together me and my parents own 3) and a dog, and about 17 fish!!!! i am trying to be more responsible of them by feeding them without being told too. How can i convince my mom to let me have a hamster.

i'm a vegetarian and i volunteer at a local animal shelter. when my parents saw how dedicated i was to helping animals, they realized that i was responsible enough, and they bought me a rabbit. so i think you should help out at a shelter, it shows dedication.

also my mom hates rats as well, but she let me get a hamster because it doesnt have the weird scaley tail. i hope you get a hamster! they are great pets!!!

Thats sweet. I'm going to college to be a Vet! But to convince my parents to let me have a hamster, all I said was I'll keep it in my room. After that I got 2! But you dont really want to keep in in your room they make A LOT of noise at night!

ask for a ferret instead. not a rodent at all and much more fun.

i done this to get my rabbit :P it worked. just keep on feeding and playing with your current animals without being asked, and promise to look after and clean out the hamster yourself and they might give in and say that when you have the hamster you'll still continue feeding the other pets too. (you only have to do this for the first few weeks then you can start lessening it a bit if you want) i actually got into the swing of it and feed all 4 of my tortoises, my dog, 20 fish and my rabbit in the morning :). so just keep doing things like that, and they should give in :)
