I reenlisted in the Air National Guard after a 2 year break and I want to get out.?

The reason being is that I have to wait a YEAR to go my technical school. I have kids, a life. I didn't know I'd have to wait so long to get a school date. Can I just tell my military recruiter I want out?

Switch to IRR...the first day that you inprocess to the unit. I was in the AF Reserves, went to tech school, and my job was cut from the unit a month later and they had no problem with me going IRR.

The Air Guard and Reserves are sooo crowed...it shouldn't be a problem letting you out.
