NOTE: The wheel bearing and Hub assembly is one unit and cannot be greased.. it has to be repalced

  1. spend the extra money and get a GM wheel bearing instead of the cheap chineese aftermarket bearings.

  2. 3x a year?

WTF is the reason for this? I suggest going to a quality, ASE certified repair shop , explain what is going on and try to figure out any underlying problems that could be causing this, unless you are using crappy parts....

  3. sounds like you drive through water and mud a lot. if you don't, you are buying the cheapest bearings known to man. i suggest to buy Timken bearings... they come with a 1 year warranty. go to autozone, i know they got'em

  4. get the bearings from a different parts store and get a warranty

as long as there is no play in the wheel just noise you can just drive it safely

  5. You pretty much have to fix it. If you don't, the bearing could pile up and lock the wheel, even at speed. The only thing I can think of is using a high quality part, installed by a pro. Cheap aftermarket parts or poor install may be to blame.

  6. stop using used parts, ive never seen a new hub assembly go bad once in a year let alone three times

  7. 1 was it new

    2 who did the work

3 wheel bearing was it torque to spec

too tight or too lose will burn bearing

even low cost hub  last longer

if u don't change it wheel will get lose

low brake pedal even may jam up and lock

hub as to be torque saw  to many shop do it whit impack

  8. Questions First; 4X4 used Off-Road a lot? Mileage? Raised in a "Monster Truck Style?" Sounds like Bad Spindles and/or Excess Offset in your Rims. Hub & Bearing is One Unit? Even "Pressed-In Sealed Bearings" Can be removed/Pressed Out.

  9. If you're changing those 3 times in a year, you have really cheap parts, or are putting them in totally wrong, or you have some messed up geometry due to big wheels, bad offsets, heavy wheels, or rough driving, or any combo of those, There is no way the truck as designed would destroy components that rapidly.

  10. worst case...your wheel falls off and you wreck.

What kind of bearing are you using?  Cheap or stock?  some of the cheap ones are c**p and do not last long.  Do you have stock tires, or aftermarket.  Aftermarket tires and rims put excessive stress on the wheel bearing and can cause premature failure......

  11. Jared , contact me, lets see if we can determine the problem

  12. If you are running very large tires you will have to go to larger spindles, bearings and brakes to stop this from reoccurring. Or buy a lot of the stock ones, but don't leave it be. The wheel will fly off and bad stuff always follows that.

    Good Luck!
