  1. What are the parents names on your birth certificate?  Do you look at all like them or completely different?  Maybe checking at the hospital might help but they usually refuse to give out any information.  I would ask any aunts or uncles you have.  Are there any old family photos?  See if there is a photo of your mom pregnant.

  2. Wow that's weird. I'm adopted and was born there in '60.

       Not that that means anything.

I would just ask whatever relatives you have.  You're a grown person, I don't see why they wouldn't tell you.

  3. If you were adopted, the place of birth & birth date will be correct. No, the hospital will not give you any information unless you know what your name was before you were adopted. Also, if you were named before being adopted, you just might have one of your names now. I don't know the Laws for adoptees in Georgia but where I'm from our records are locked up. I had to have a court order to be able to get info out of my records. I was adopted in 1960 & the law here back then was that the child had to keep one of their names when adopted but were given 2 new names. When I first went for info out of my records I wrote to the state congressman & senitor of our state which they let me know where to go to get info. But, it made me more curious about my past. It also caused alot of tention in my family for what I did. They didn't understand that I did it because I needed my family medical history & it wasn't in my adoption records. Are your adopted parents still alive? If so, since they wouldn't tell you anything about it, then don't tell them what you are doing. I made that mistake. Now, most of my adopted family doesn't want anything to do with me. Good luck!!!!!!!

  4. wow that's a toughy, you should go to Georgia Baptist Hospital and pull up your information.all hospitals have to write down the original birth parent. It would be easier to find out from your parents if you could just convince them. Are you sure you cant get anymore information from your relatives
