I wonder what is best to use, I was thinking about using a metallic brush and liquid stripper. Any suggestions?

  1. Acetone or mineral spirits and a your floor scraper. Then the wire brush.

Careful about being well ventilated. Fumes of all cleaners and solvents can be very dangerous.

  2. Contractors use a rotary abrasive device usually available from a rental store. Check with them first, and your problems may be solved a lot easier.

  3. Us contractors rent a floor buffer with the roughest abrasive pad you can get. I use an orange smelling degreasing solution sold by janitorial places. We spray that on with a hand pump sprayer, let it set about 1/2 hour, then fire up that buffer and it will eat anything off of that concrete.

    It works

  4. I would use acetone to soften the glue and scrape them off with a wide metal spatula.

  5. Why remove it, if your tiling over it professional ceramic tile installers use a sealer and just tile over it.

If you are carpeting over it, the pad will cover it.

If you absolutely want to remove it,you can rent an electric floor scraper at a tool rental shop.
