I renewed my Norton but it still shows the old expiry date

Do I have to uninstall the norton first ?How do I do that ?I never had this much trouble with it. It says there is another program running on Norton - you have to uninstall it.

i would have thought you just enter the pass key the same as most other AV systems

it should have been issued to you when you paid for your new subscription unless you went on a phishing site and you have been fleeced...
