Moved into a new apartment this week, and I want to wall-mount my TV. Can I do this to my apartment, and just patch/paint the bolt holes when I move out?

  1. Check your lease - you may need to ask permission technically, but I would just do it and fill up afterwards

  2. better clear it with your landlord first.  surprises can be costly in the end.

  3. Play it safe and check with the landlord. Some get a little P I S S Y when it comes to boring holes in "'THEIR"' walls.

My brother rents out apartments and he suggests to tenants that they purchase a stand for their TVs. Of course, his is a historical building (plaster walls) so I understand his rule on this.

  4. ask your landlord-putting holes in walls can be a touchy subject

  5. check your lease...so say no holes in the wall, but what can they do to u when u move out, nothing but charge u for the repair....patch the hole when u leave

  6. i rent and i did my landlord did not say anything i will patch the holes when i leave.

  7. Ask your land lord. Then if you can, do it.

  8. I rent and i did and u right just patch the holes when u leave. Also if u think about it the holes r not huge.If they are a strict landlord they probably will just deduct a little off your deposit for repairs.
