I rented a fetal heart monitor..?

I rented one and I found the heartbeat at 10w2d!! I am just wondering if anyone knows if it's ok to check the heartbeat once or twice a day just to make sure all is well with the baby?!? I just feel so much better knowing that he/she is ok in there!

Aren't they awesome!!!? I also have a fetal heart monitor and I love it so much!!! I researched it and looked up other people's questions and haven't found anything about them that could hurt the baby.  The only thing I found was that one women went to her doctor with it and the doctor said they could hear the baby moving away from the Doppler but not that it would hurt it in any way.  I have been trying not to use mine all day every day (even though I really want to!) because I don't want to get too obsessed with it.  I am going to ask my doctor at my next appt what she thinks about how often to use it but from what I have read I don't see anything wrong with checking every day if it makes you feel better.  It is such an amazing sound!!!  Congrats :)

EDIT: I was doing more research today and found some sites that recommend only using the doppler infrequently, and not for very long.

its fine to check the babys heart beat when ever you want.

When you ordered the fetal heart monitor there should have been an instruction book in there. They do have certain recommendations of how many times a day you should check for the babies heart beat. Good Luck and Congrats on your baby!!!
