  1. think about who might of broken it, then find facts and evidence to support your accusation

  2. They will need to prove you actually did it, if they are unable then they generally don't have a leg to stand on, best to seek legal advice and proceed from there

  3. They can accuse you.  They can even sue you.

    But can they WIN?

I don't think so.  They may take you to small claims court.  Let them.  They have the burden of proof.

They will have difficulty proving it when they wait 2 days to decide it must have been YOU.  Anything could have happened in those 2 days.

  4. Renting a limo or any type of vehicle is the same. When the vehicle was returned they should have looked over the vehicle with you to insure that everything was in tact before you left the premises. Did they do this? Because limo companies use their own drivers they should have looked over the inside of the vehicle for damages before and after. It is simply their words against yours. I would tell them I am calling my lawyer, that just might be enough. Do you have pics of the the vehicle that night? And what is the driver saying as he/she prob would have been in or near the vehicle the whole evening. Yeah sounds like hogwash to me.

  5. You should have obtained a "release" after the rental was complete (same day). This lists any damage or releases you from the contract if no damage is found. I would fight it.

  6. They have to PROVE you broke it. get a lawyers advice.

  7. No, they cannot get away with this.

First, if it took them two days to call you, then it's too late for them. They should have noticed any damage, if any, the day you rented their limo because you could argue that somebody else might have broken their window during those two days.

Second, the price of the rental should have some form of insurance included which covers any damages that were not spoted on the day of the rental, so it's not your responsibility.

Third, they won't sue you, they're just bluffing because why should they pay an expensive lawyer for a case they're gonna lose anyway? Since they cannot prove anything, unless they have a hidden camera inside their limo, catching you in the act of breaking their window!!!

Really, this whole story sounds like a scam.
