  1. I wouldn't use them. They are hard to clean and can harbor bacteria. Just buy a reusable poly-carbonate water bottle.

  2. that true, its not healthy at all. go with a glass bottl

  3. No you should not be reusing them because of chemicals leeching from the plastic. The only safe thing these days is to buy an aluminum bottle to refill - they come in lots of different styles, sizes, colours, now.

  4. I have heard that if you leave plastic water bottles in your car and then drink out of them it can give you cancer but i havent heard anything about that.

  5. that rumor is another scare tactic by the extreme left fear mongers and trolls.

read up on the codes for use and recycling.

  6. I think that is propaganda put out by the plastic bottle manufacturers to stop recycling and get you to buy a new one daily.  Keep doing what you're doing!

  7. i know yahoo just had a report of 10 health myths the other day on their homepage. one of them was about bottled water. they said it's a myth that it's bad to reuse bottles. i think it's fine, but i wouldn't reuse one more than 2 weeks, just me.

  8. It is perfectly fine to reuse your bottles and you are helping the environment so good for you! It's not like toxic chemicals are leaking into your water from the bottle, so everything is just fine. Just make sure that you clean your bottle each time you use it. If you still are worried about it, you could switch to glass bottles, but those break easily. Either way, keep up the good work :)

  9. You know what, I do the same exact thing.  Not every day, but I refill them once or twice.  I think it's considered bad because of the whole "leeching" thing.  When plastic bottles (except newer, advertised ones) sit in your car, or in the sun a chemical leeches out into the water that you're about to drink.  One type of new, safe bottle is a SIM reusable water/beverage bottle cast out of aluminum.

  10. We reuse plastic water bottles a lot at our house without any problems.  We just run 'em through the dishwasher (top rack) between uses and then any that melt and the bottom goes round we put in the recycle bin.

    Good for you!

  11. if left in the direct sun for long amounts of time, bacteria grows in the water. Instead of plastic water bottles that aren't meant to be reused, I would buy an aluminum or plastic reusable sports bottle and wash it some.

    try these:

  12. I do the same thing. Recently it was discovered that bacteria starts growing in the bottle. I have never been sick becasue of it. I now put an ounce of mouthwash in the bottle every few days to keep it clean. Don't know if it works, but it keeps the water tasting fresher. Keep drinking water it's one easiest  healthy things to do.

  13. I will do it for a couple of days and then just get a new bottle.  One reason it could be bad is because of the germs that are sitting there growing so just throw it out after 2-3 days or daily if you have a cold.
