  1. You just need a soak in a tub of hot water with some epsom salts or baking soda and 24 hrs.  Use cornstarch powder if you have any raw spots.  You know, it is actually quite hard on the horses back to go on long intense rides without a saddle.  He is probably quite sore as well.  I have seen horses get actual swollen 'pads' along the spine from riding bareback.  It is okay for walking along easy, but not for long rides, and certainly not if there is any trotting.

  2. just ice and rest. that is a sign of you werent riding on your bum and were riding on your well......

learn a lesson. thats how I learned

  3. dont worry u will get used to it its what hapened to abit when i first rode bareback

  4. Take ibuprofen for the pain and inflammation. After the first 24 hours warm baths will help speed up the resolution of the bruises, and should be soothing as well.  You could also fill a hot water bottle and keep it on for an hour 4 times a day.  If you can stand it, you can also alternate cold packs in between using the heat, which will speed up the recovery that much more. Take the ibuprofen as directed for as long as you continue to have pain. I'd also check the horse's back for soreness...alternating cold and heat might help that.

  5. The saddle works as a shock absorber to both you and the horse and is so much comfier to ride in. Going over jumps bareback is going to hurt you as you are landing with such an impact on the horses back...nothing to protect you. You are being thrown down onto the horse hard bony back, I would say that will be why. Don't worry you'll be better in a week or so this has happened to me...LOTS lol

    Hope that helped!

  6. it is probably cause you are not used to it

it will go awway don't have a freak attack

  7. Ouch, I hate it when that happens.

It only hurts so bad now because you're not used to it.  The first time I rode bareback I went for 2 hours, and it was horrible!!!

Don't give up though, bareback riding is so much fun, you can feel the horse's movements so much better.

  8. It's just something that you will have to get used to. There is really nothing you can do. Except maybe use a saddle if you don't like riding bareback.

  9. dont ride that long bareback

  10. Haha found some place you didn't know could be sore huh?

    Not a sexual joke.

If you don't get sore everynow and then you are not pushing yourself enough as a rider. I'm a horse back everyday for atleast 6 hours normaly 10 hours. And you know what? Even I get sore every now and then. I constantly push myself.

Take three advil and call me in the morn. Ha.

  11. oouch that happens to me sometimes. just soak in a oatmeal bath, put on some lotion, and ice it.
