I run my own daycare at home. I want to further my education....?

What do you think I should study? I will be studying online, so things are limited....thank you for your suggestions...

Between daycare and education, when will you have a life and take care of yourself??

This is a serious consideration before you proceed, as parents are paying you to be 110% attentive and alert while you care for their children.

Wonderful thing to consider!  

My first question would be...do you enjoy what you are doing right now?  If yes, then go with something in the education field...Having an early childhood endorsement will allow for quite a selection of job choices for the future.  If you plan on continuing you in-home child care maybe you would like to "specialize" in something that no one else in your area offers.  I have found that special needs experience is very seldom found in regards to family child care.  

My second question is.. How much education do you have presently?  I have found that many online programs focus more on associate degrees or master's degrees and very seldom Bacherlor's.  So maybe you should...if you haven't already... check out what programs your online "college" offers.  I came to a dead end with wanting to continue my education (or finish it in my situation) online.

I think I would study early childhood education or catering. I too am interested in running my own daycare business but I would like to have a small facility. I am a cna/ma and I want to broaden my future choices and be more available to my four children later on. So I definatley would say go for something that you can keep a flexible schedule and broaden your current business even. Catering, teaching, photography, counceling etc...

You could get your CDA or work on an AA in Child Care Management or Early Childhood Education.
