I saw a bird swimming in a creek that looked like a turkey with webbed feet. What was it?

It was probably an anhinga. They're called "water turkeys" for just that reason.

I grew up in southern Florida and they're a common sight in the Everglades.

Probably a Mallard. Depends on where U live. Turkeys don't swim. But, Ducks Do.

It was a Muscovy Duck! Which is nicknamed the Turkey Duck!

Are common in ponds, swamps and creeks around people they come in black, black and white, White and Brown, and Brown. The wild ones are usually black/dark with a bit of white. The domestic ones come in a variety of colors as mentioned above and even some more!
