  1. It was probably an anhinga. They're called "water turkeys" for just that reason.

    I grew up in southern Florida and they're a common sight in the Everglades.

  3. Probably a Mallard. Depends on where U live. Turkeys don't swim. But, Ducks Do.

    Female Mallard

    Wild Turkey (Just Kidding)

    Female Blue-Winged, and Green-Winged Teal

    Are common in ponds, swamps and creeks around people they come in black, black and white, White and Brown, and Brown. The wild ones are usually black/dark with a bit of white. The domestic ones come in a variety of colors as mentioned above and even some more!
