  1. wow! you are lucky, they are very rare.

report it to your local paper. it would help a lot if someone else saw it as well.

  2. Not to worry, that is simply Balthazar flying his saucer.

  3. Could it have been a meteorite entering the atmosphere? They can create a bright fast travelling fireball, sometimes you can hear a sound as well. They may be visible in daylight.

  4. First u say u saw it in the sky.

Than u say it was floating on the water.

    Make up ur mind!

No I never saw anything like that.

  5. It could have been ball lightning which can appear to float in the air, or it could have been Jack-O-Lantern which is methane gas that has ignited.

Was the lake in a marshy/boggy environment?

Both are rare to see so I would be feeling very privileged to see this.  Sadly I have seen neither!

  6. If you saw this during daylight, it could be ice crystals in the clouds reflecting the sunlight. I saw this phenomenon once, it was really bright.

  7. was it a flaming goose?

  8. you neglected to tell us what you were drinking when this happened.

  9. Interesting. I am in my 40s and I remember when I was about 10 or 11 I say a fireball going up and down in the sky in pure daylight and also remember some people watching it with me. It was in the summer time when that happened, but today when I bring it up some people think i am making it up. Always wondered what it really was.

  10. It could have been an instance of ball lightening (see link for more details)
