  1. What type of projector?  If it was a TV or PC/video projector, beware.  The lamps don't live very long, and a good quality projector, ie SONY, Panasonic, Hitachi etc. etc. would cost around £600 to £800.   with spare lamps costing £150 to £200 each.

If you can get the whole thing for £150, then I'm betting it's an "also brand" and you will have little or no chance of getting a replacement lamp when the time comes.

If it uses a "standard replacement" lamp, it will still cost as much to replace the lamp as you paid for the projector!

You'd do better saving your hard earned cash and going for a quality brand, plus I suspect the image quality would be a bit iffy.

  2. hiya. i think you're on about the al-100 projector by alientech. it's on iwantoneofthose.com. but it's even cheaper now. some places are selling it for 100.

the same model (but a different name) is out in the US called the torpedo projector. it seems exactly the same for some reason and people are saying they're being sold for $75!
