I saw a show today about killer bees and my friend said there are killer lightning bugs too. Is this true?

He said that instead of turning yellow they turn red (from all of the blood they have sucked out of the people they have mercilessly murdered). I am gravely concerned about killer lightning bugs. Please help. Please.
