I saw in Guiness bk of world records,a man with rarest blood type got 3 to 7 grand for a unit of blood,Where?

Artice said O pos from AB neg mother results in hh subtype,and man was screened at blood center,was regularly being called to sell a pint now n then for between 3 to 7 grand ,back around 79 to 1980 ed of Guiness book of world records for rarest blood type.I find myself in that category,where would I find such buyers?Ive searched bloodbanks on search engines ,etc,to no avail.They ve called it bombay bloodtype as well,for someone in bombay with same.Anyone got some useful info on this,I tried to contact guiness for info and couldn t find ontact info concerning the original article in their paperback from 79 or 1980

  1. You'll notice the date of the Guinness record is pre-AIDS epidemic. Bloodbanks only pay for pheresis now, and even then it's only $20. The technology has advanced to the point that they can manipulate blood better and don't need to pay for the rarest of the rare.
