I saw these planes over milton keynes today?

Question

Two RAF Globemasters with escorts of 6 Eurofighters fly over my house in Milton Keynes at approx. 4:30? Any ideas, this is very unusual to see RAF jets over here, its a heli training area.

These aircraft were either carrying out a training exercise or as I suspect with an escort of 6 fighters then there must have been something pretty lethal, top secret or valuable as a pay load, going to some base or other.
