I saw this word in Russian : всем. Does anybody know what it means?

I saw this word on a persons profile on Yahoo and I want to know what it means since I'm studying Russian.

  1. It's one of the declensions of весь, meaning 'all', 'the whole', 'the whole of', 'everything', 'everybody', 'everyone'

      


  2. It means "Goodbye", or "Bye", or English words to that effect.

  3. Yes it is the dative case and plural of the word "whole" in English, in Russian "все." In Russian the plural of the adjective "whole" would mean all, everyone, everything. Весь would be "всему" to correct the answerer above me.

    So in translation it would mean "to all" maybe like "всем привет." (To) everyone, hello!
