  1. sounds like a flow :)

yea mos def i wish  chicago was bikes, buses and trains only

    ahhh dreams of fresh air

  2. To late, i already have! Its great, less pollution, A LOT cheaper and its good for me. What about the downsides?? Well sometimes it rains and thats not very good, but apart from that there arnt any, well for me anyway.

  3. Unfortunately many people can't easily switch to a car-free existence, and even those who can aren't willing to do it.

Personally, I went 12 years without a car ... I walked or biked everywhere ... but I lived in a downtown area and only had to go 3 miles to work. Many people can't do that ... at least not without major changes to how they live.

But the day of the gasoline powered car is rapidly coming to an end and a replacement isn't going to be easy to achieve. There really isn't any substitute for oil in our current world, so the shock is going to be profound.  Read "The Long Emergency" as one example of what can be expected.

  4. I would love to but I can't cycle to work as it's a 45 mile round trip down a busy highway & I'd get killed.  I do sometimes ride to the post office on my bike, which is several miles from home.  I'm hoping to find a job closer to home so I can walk or bike, that would be great!

  5. Everywhere you possibly can
