I scare guys. Help...?

I don't flirt. I've tried, but I can't! I always feel so bimbo-y and immature! When a guy comes up to talk to me, I usually just get into a conversation about either the incompetence of our teachers or politics. WTF is up with me? I like guys and all, but I seem to scare people off. My friends (I have quite a few, so I don't scare all people) also call me "insensitive to emotional problems". I can't help it!!! What do I do to be less of a debate team freak?

To be honest, either date within your social circle (a.k.a. Debate team freaks), or simply let him do all the talking. Just ask the essential questions, "Hows your day so far?", "What have you been up to lately?" Etc. Just make sure he knows that you're interested in him, and try not to talk your head off as tempting as it might be.
