While expressing his views in the post-match presentation ceremony, the opening batsman expressed that he had a troubled-back, which did not make things easy for him in the field as well as with the bat in hand.

The cricketer from Colombo is also delighted with the emergence of some budding all-rounders like Jeevan Mendis and Thisara Perera, who have offered a very nice balance to the side.
“We are trying to give Angelo more opportunities to bat. He's taken more responsibility now at No 5. Having all these all-rounders gives us balance,” the skipper expressed.
