It is only one month old and I was trying to get around a really sharp corner in a car park.... as a result, the back passenger side panel near the back tyre scraped along a wall. I freaked out and had a panic attack and when I got home I lied and told my husband that someone had scraped past me! I feel not only STUPID for doing such a careless thing, but horrible that I am lying to my best friend in the world. I need to tell him the truth, but I don't know how to tell him. Please, any advice would be great. I feel so so stupid and pathetic and like a lousy driver.....

  1. I scraped my moms new car on the side of the garage about 6 months ago and I expected her to FLIP OUT! So I told her and was all "please don't yell at me, but I scratched the car coming into the garage" and all she said was "meh. it's just a car.." I was shocked that she didn't really mind. and my mom is strict as heck!

Honestly just tell your husband exactly what you told us, "So I was in the car park at (wherever) and i went to go around that bend and misjudged where it was and scraped the back side of the car into that wall.. it's easily fixable, but I just thought you should know that I feel bad about it. ...oh also, sorry i lied about it before.."

Done. Easy. and he will be all "Oh, well, i'm a little pissed that you lied to me, but it's okay, it's just a car" then you can go on to have s**y kisses afterward ^_^

  2. Don't feel bad, I once smacked my dads truck into one of those things at sonic and lied and said someone hit me. Dumb idea. He stared me down until I crumbled and told him. Just tell your husband, " I have something to tell you and it's really stupid." then just tell him. He'll probably be a little peeved that you did it, but it's not like he's going to leave you over a scrape on the car. Just remind him it was an accident and it can be fixed. Think to the future...how much will it really matter in  a year. Just get busy on getting info on repairs. That'll ease his mind that you're taking care of it. Get an estimate and make an appointment to get it fixed. Take charge and don't let him feel like he has to do anything to fix the issue.
