I know how to use my diaphragm. I learned yesterday and could do it, however today I cannot, and my voice doesn't hurt so it can't be that I damaged it or something.

Thanks.

  1. ya can't really scream from your diaphragm, it's more from your voicebox and your throat, ya sing with your diaphragm.

  2. do NOT use your throat to scream. like you said, it comes from the diaphram. well, you use your diaphram to push the air out.

and never eat/drink dairy before singing or screaming. it kind of coats your throat and makes it difficult to sound normal. it's almost like you are congested.....but with dairy products. make sense?

drink WATER before, during, and after screaming or singing.

water will be your best friend.

screaming is an ART. it isn't simple to learn. it takes time to master. you just learned how to do it, so be patient with it.

i'm pretty sure Spencer Chamberlin from Underoath didn't learn it in a day.

    goodluck & rock on sweetie.

  3. You can't damage your voice if you are doing the right thing.

Your throat will produce the tone . The diaphram is compared to the Volume k**b on an amb. So , basically, that is your built-in power muscle to push the air out of your lung.

It's like you are telling me that you can't talk anymore. If you can talk, then produca a note with your voice and push with the diaphram for power.
