I see a lot of questions asking why are the Dems/Liberals attacking/smearing a 17 year old? ?

I just do not get it......what attacks are they talking about. Reporting the fact that she is pregnant is an attack? Is it because no one is saying how wonderful it is to have be in high school, unmarried and pregnant? Seriously, what are the attacks?

You don't understand!  When republicans chant Obama is a Muslim and unpatriotic - that's not an attack.  When Democrats ask how Sarah Palin can be against s*x ed in schools when her own daughter has got pregnant that's an attack.

See?  Republicans republican never attack only Democrats.  How do I know this?  Why Rush Limburger told me so - so it must true, right?

Uhm ...let's see, oh yes, when somebody tries to defend themselves thje Republicans call it "whining."  So I guess the Republicans are a bunch of whiners by their own definition?

well some here have called her a w***e for one. Others say because she got pregnant hshe most have a bad mother. Others try to tie abstinence to the problem. As if in alaska they dont know what makes you pregnant? Get serious people! If you think there is a single kid in this country that doesnt know what makes babies by 12 years old you are sadly mistaken!

You are upset that a conservative woman lives the liberal dream for woman and doesnt agree with you! That is what this was about! If she were the dem vp nominee and a lib she would be your hero and you know it!

Palin's daughter is a wild child if you look at some of her photos and yet Palin pretends to believe in family values. But where are they?

You see this is the product of the warped conservative mentality: they view pregnancy as an affliction, and they assume unwed pregnancy is a shame to the family. Their argument goes that it would be easier for everyone to ignore the problem. In fact, that's actually a good summation of their policy on teen sexuality - ignore it.

In the olden days, Bristol would have been shipped away to some far-off ward, and forced to give her baby up for adoption. Many conservatives long for simpler times like these, when society did not abide freedom of choice.

Well, I am hearing them all the time. I have been watching this election very closely and listening to all the issues, speeches and where each canidate stands. I admit I was pretty much 50/50 on both canidates and couldnt decide who to vote for.

With all this Slander going on with Palins daughter, its really begining to turn me off of voting for Obama and those who are following him. So now I am slightly leaning towards McCain.

i just finished watching CNN and it seems that people are upset because she is keeping the baby and the idea of her parents are backing there daughter bother people. Not everyone understands this concept, since CNN is Democrated Central, it seems its the only thing to do to make Obama look good. even though im a democrat its seems these tactics are needed, even Obama doesnt agree with this even being mention

What I don't get is how some people are blaming Governor Palin for this.  She did not make her daughter have unprotected s*x.  I'm certain young Miss Palin knew all of the consequences of having unprotected s*x.  She chose to accept those consequences.

I have heard few attacks on the child herself.

Many on the judgment of the mother and McCain for putting her through this. Their priorities are still in question to me. I see no way to spin it but more hypocrisy on their part.

Attacks are that the family memembers are being grilled and not the candidates.  Attack the candidates ideas/programs and not the family members as they have lives of their own.

also; on other pages I've seen; some people have called her dirty names for making the same mistake Obamas mother did.

Perhaps you were celebrating the holiday and didn't catch what happened.  The Obamacans first came out saying that Bristol was the biological mother of her brother.  THey doctored old photos as "proof" and some of them even implied that she had an incestuous relationship with her father.

How snake-belly low is that!!!

Because if the unfounded rumors, the Palins' announced that their daughter is five-months pregnant, which puts the kibosh on any rumors that she is the mother of her 4-month old brother.  There is no way that Bristol could be both the biological mother of her brother and five months pregnant.

The telling of the hard truth exposed just how low the Obama team will go to make life difficult for their opponents. They said nasty things about the daughter AND the infant. Funny when you consider that Obama says he is the candidate above such lowly operations.

Believing in and teaching family values is separate from choices that your children will ultimately make. Anyone with a teenager knows you can show them the best road and pray that they will walk down it. But sometimes they don't and they learn the hard way. The pregnancy of Gov. Palin's daughter is not due to preaching abstinence or having good family values. This issue is really besides the point and has nothing to do with the aptitude of the candidates. If this happened to your boss you wouldn't discredit your boss as being unworthy of her job because her teen daughter got pregnant. This argument really makes no sense. Let's focus on the real issues like why Obama has worked on projects with known terrorists, was involved in a dirty real estate deal with Rezko, and attended a church that practiced  Black Liberation Theology amongst other things.
