  1. We don't get money for it around here. The other thing they pay us from is scrap metal.  People recycle cardboard because they are trying to help protect the earth.

  2. go to www.earth911.org to find a local recycle center that pays for cardboard, contact them and see what their rate is.

  3. It's going for a whopping 3 cents a pound in central California!  You might get enough money for a soda & a gallon of gas for a whole truck load of the stuff...yahoo!

Scrap metal is worth far more for the same sized truck load!

  4. well i don't live in your country, i am from asia. anyway we get money here when we recycle, but it is not much. infact very little, but if you are a student, it is still money! selling plastic, alluminium cans, glass and metal, we can get money. all enough to buy some treats like sweets or watch a movie in the cinema or get a free cheap lunch.

  5. Depends on how close you are first to the plant that actually recycles the cardboard and secondly to a major collection center. Around here there are many people who make a couple of hundred dollars a week doing it, but you do need a decent sized truck and arrangements with stores to be able to pick up their boxes. I have seen fights where two or three were trying to take boxes promised by the store to another.

  6. Probably not enough to cover the cost of gas to get rid of it.

  7. I didn't know you could get money for that! No wonder I see pick up trucks all weighted down with cardboard!! Where would you go to recycle it though? The only place I know is only for cans and bottles.

  8. In New Jersey, it is recycled with all other paper items.  No money is exchanged.  Just saves it from the landfills.
