The Spaniard has revealed his views regarding his position on the field and has assessed himself as the heir of the Barca number 6.
Barcelona’s Cesc Fabregas has expressed that he is likely to replace Xavi Hernandez as an attacking midfielder in the future. The technically gifted player suggested that he has every capability of succeeding the legendary Catalan national.

Upon his arrival at the Nou Camp, the 25-year-old had to quickly adopt to the forward position as Pep Guardiola opted to use him up front. It was a time when the Catalan giants were without the services of Xavi and Andres Iniesta, hence, Fabregas was allowed
a prominent amount of time on the pitch.
As the players returned, he had to feature as the false-nine striker and play as an attacker. Interestingly, the footballer did quite well in an advanced position and found the back of the net on a healthy basis.

"I was pushed forward by circumstances. I believe that there will never be another Xavi."
The midfielder was recently found struggling for more time on the pitch as his services were not utilized by Tito Vilanova on a consistent basis. However, the matter appears resolved for now.
