I see on the news that basic crops,rice corn wheat have increased dramatically?

Why don`t the Governments in the poorer countries control these prices

To maintain the profits. Gov'ts have been dumping food grains in the sea to maintaion the prices rather that to gift them to the poorer nations.

They want the  income  to the  country    for themselves.  not worried  about  the  cost to their   poorer   inhabitants.   All politicians  are   the  same,   all me me  and self.  They dont care about  the people....

There are a number of factors involved here. It's all about supply and demand, and the current trend is to grow certain crops for biofuels, is partially responsible for leaving reduced amounts of (but high demand for) such crops being grown for the kitchen table. Other factors cited: growing demand for food in emerging nations (also about supply and demand), wheat crop failures, and currency fluctuation.

Given that, how do you expect any single government to control the prices? And, where are they to drum up the money that would be needed to subsidize these prices?
