I see the number 23 everywhere? just like the movie, please help

kinda weird. everything i do and see i can relate to the number 69. anyone else feel this way? i did search to find my numeral and its 3, and you can get 69 with 3 idk its so crazy! just like the movie 23 but instead my number is 69! holy crud 23 can be turned into 69 2x3 is 6 and 3x3 is 9, 69. this is really freaking me out, and i am being very serious. anyon have this exp? how can you stop worrying about it so much? why does it happen?

If you stop and think about it, IQ - whatever it actually measures but for the sake of argument let us assume that it does represent some measure of basic intelligence - then we must remember that it is a Gaussian or normal or bell-shaped distribution and that 1/2 the population is sub normal. So if you are standing on a street corner and you call every other person stupid you could be right but yet they would get angry with you for simply pointing out a fact.

Anyway, now what was the question? I have had trouble with that number 69 but I always thought it was just because the number is related to mutual oral s*x. But that says nothing about what your problem with the number is. It would be more interesting if the number had been 666. I used to work with a guy who had that phone extension. I always wanted it. I'm sorry, back to your pressing problem. Just why does this freak you out? So what? I see coke signs everywhere but that doesn't freak me out. Why not Pepsi? Always that coca cola. I mean I had been a pepsi guy but then I changed to coke. Could there be some meaning in that? Signs everywhere, very strange. But back to you. Why does this bother you? I can't understand that. It is just a number and even if it were everywhere, so what? Say, what year did they first land on the moon? wasn't that 19 - 69? Spooky. And, oh my God, when was Charlie Manson having people killed? Yes, that too was 19 - 69!!

And I just found out that Marshall McLuhan suggested that you should choose your reading by turning to page 69 of a book and, if you like it, read it. And the year 69 was the year of four emperors for the roman empire, a very strange year. Maybe there is something to this 69 stuff!

it's just  a coincident. 36 & 64 looked popular numbers as their sum is 100 and have a complete root, but 69 uhmm dont know

Watch out! You are on a slippery slope and you need to claw yourself back to reality!

You can pick any number and do additions and subtractions to reach it from any other number. IT HAS NO MEANING AT ALL, just that you can add and subtract numbers!

If you can't shake this, get to a psychiatrist!

"Bugs Bunny." -- put that thought in your head, and you'll start seeing pictures of and references to Bugs Bunny everywhere you look.  It's human nature.  Once we're keyed in to look for a certain type of thing or pattern, we'll start seeing it everywhere.  It was there all along, of course, but we weren't attuned to look for it, and we usually filter that type of extranneous data out of our conscious mind to let us stay on high alert for more urgent things like stop lights, things flying toward us and free food samples at the grocery store.

This phenomenon holds especially true when dealing with numbers, because humans are particularly good at spotting patterns, and per your own example, one can find patterns that relate to any given number, e.g. 23, very easily.

Relax....(a) you're not crazy, at least not based on the whole "23" thing, and (b) everyone experiences this phenomenon from time to time, just like deja vous.
