Question:

I seem to be picking up strange radio signals through my speakers, why?

i have had this problem for a while but i thought nothing of it and now it is starting to drive up the wall. And it isnt just english stations there has been a few times were i hear spanish. I have even closed all progammes down that i had running and in the tool bar at the bottom left. Is there anyway of stoping La Chacha lol from telling me the whether in spanish??? And end the mumbling!! please help

  1. It happens all the time. Your speakers are acting as receivers. Nothing unusual - all the electrical components are there in both receivers and speakers (more or less). It's not the computer, so don't mess with your programs or desk accessories.

    It might have something to do with summer and the sunset coming later. In the US that affects certain types of licenses - don't know if that applies in Europe or the UK.

    I can't explain the Spanish, unless you're in the US (but programmes spelled that way is a dead giveaway that you're not ;<)

    Radio signals (esp. AM) can really travel a long way.

    Make sure everything's grounded properly and you're using good leads (wires). That might help get rid of it. Or, you can add a small amplifier between the computer and the speakers - it might act as a filter.
