I seem to have trouble posing in front of the camera. Any suggestions on how to look more modelesque?

  1. Practice your moves before you go. Expose yourself to movements you never thought possible. Try sitting in on a dance class, and implement those moves into still versions in front of the cameras.

    Mostly, do what you're comfortable with. Don't do anything to excessive. Look natural, and you'll be a natural!!!

  2. Don't worry. If the person behind the camera is a pro, they will make you look good. So why worry?

    At worst have a shot of bourbon before you go. Seriously. (Well don't drive yourself then!)

  3. the person who said that the photographer will direct you was correct. but it helps for you to have some poses in mind. also if you were doing a real photoshoot there is normally some type of theme or idea they're going for. my two suggestions are to study poses in magazines... really. it's something you don't notice until you take time to and also watch America's Next Top Model -- it may not be your kind of show, if not just watch the photoshoots. I've learned a lot from a photography standpoint just by being open-minded and watching.
