What is the best way, and what are the additional costs associated with shipping to Canada?

Ive heard of duties, taxes, and such, but how do you figure those costs.

I had one person ask me if I would say it's a "gift" so they would not have to pay taxes or something like that. Does that work??

Thanks

  1. i sell on ebay as well and always ship to canada and other countries.

they ask you to describe your item on the customs paper. its just to say its not anything that shouldnt be mailed. i dont have to pay that much extra. it is more expensive to ship out of country, i just charge more. just so i know im covered. usually the item sold is a gift honestly. so list it as gift.

  2. I live in Canada but I ship to the United States all of the time. You just need to have the item in the envelope with the postal code of the destination and have it weighed at the post office. You will then have a final shipping amount and that is what you will charge the buyer. Also, I always say it's a gift and I do think it works.

  3. yes if someone ask u too
