Hi, I'm an American. Sorry. I sent a letter to an address in Canada using the address as stated in Google, but realized later that Google only gave me three characters for the postal code, but there are really supposed to be six. Its quite an important letter; I'm wondering if it will still get to its destination.

  1. As long as you had the right street address on it then there will be no problem.

  2. Yes as the first three are good enough to get it to the right postal office.  Actually most letters with no postal code at all still get there.

In future you can look up postal codes here:

  3. yeah it will reach, as u have all the other complete address.

  4. If it's to a city, then it may not as most cities have quite a few postal codes.  If it's to a town, the town likely only has one and it should be straight forward.  You can always cross your fingers if it's to a city, the letter may still make it, but it's at the mercy of how helpful a civil servant wants to be when they come across the letter.

  5. Yes , it will ...
