I sent a ringtone to my Razr, but all i can do is save it as a sound.....but i want the ringtone...help?

I have Verizon Wireless with a V2 Razr. I sent a ringtone to my phone, but it can only be saved as a sound, which cant be made into a ringtone.. any help so that it can?
