Alright, I have had a paypal account for a long time. I haven't used it in a few years, and the bank account I used on there is from a few years ago, and is no longer existing. I recently added another credit card from a different bank on there, and had full intentions of using this card to transfer the funds to the person I was buying from. But when I did it, I thought it would transfer the funds from this card, but instead it transfered the funds from my old bank account that is non existant, and it now says "completed". But... this account doesn't exist! When I realized this I tried to delete the bank account, but it told me I still had pending transactions with it. The card I wanted to use was my backup, apparently. So... what should I do here? Will it eventually realize it can't take funds from there and switch to my other card? Thanks everyone and all who help me out here.

  1. Contact Paypal immediately to notify them of the confusion and issue payment with your alternate card.  Request that they delete the account as well.  Depending on who you get, you may not have any fees related to the "bounced" transaction by being upfront.

And then smoke a joint and relax, cuz you took care of it and you can. lol

  2. smoke a joint and relax my friend

  3. Relax. Just call them and explain what happened and they'll assist you over the phone. They will walk you through what you need to do to correct it. You should do that asap so that they don't charge you or anything like that.

  4. Get in touch with the person you were paying and explain the situation.  I don't think that Paypal will do anything without you giving it instructions.  If you are talking about an Ebay transaction then you can explain the situation through the site.
