I sent off a letter by first class Friday night (10pm) how long should it take to get to east london?

im from windsor, i called up the place i was meant to send it to and they still havnt recieved it. Or do u think it could have got lost iin the post? xx

Should have been there Monday or Tuesday!! but dont give up yet it might turn up tomorrow!

Should have been there yesterday but the post is bad these days.  I assume you put the correct postage on it with all the changes - my sister sent my daughter a birthday card - small letter size but the badge that was on it wouldnt fit through the gap so we had to pay excess postage on it

10PM should be after pickup. So theyll pick it up on saturday. No post sunday. So it will come Monday

I live in east London and we have been having real trouble with receiving post. Although Royal Mail denied there was a problem when I contacted them, it took 2 weeks for a package my Mum sent me 1st Class from Oxford to arrive! We have also had quite a few letters not arrive which we know were sent, so it is a possibility that your letter is lost.

If the letter's not important then just hold on a few more days, as it could just be a bit delayed, but if it's important, I'd resend it special delivery. Special delivery is more expensive than recorded delivery, but it is guaranteed the next day before a certain time (usually 1pm) and you can track it as it goes, whereas recorded only goes at the same speed as 1st Class and only tracks it once it has been signed for.

I would have expected it to arrive today or yesterday. If it is not there by Thurs then report it as lost post.

I am finding far too much post seems to be going astray lately! Am getting fed up with it.

Was it via Royal Mail?  I only ask, because they just delivered a post card to an address a couple of days ago following a 75 year delay.  I expect the addressee is dead by now - bored stiff waiting for the d**n thing.  Poor darling.
