I seperated 2 life long birds is this ok?

i got 2 peach fronted conures about a week and a half ago they lived in thier cage for a year and a half at the pet shop they were screamers and biters little brats so yesterday i seperated them.now there being nice,letting me hold them and not screaming as much,and dont bite that much do you think there better off seperated?

I think you did the right thing.  By separating them, you have made it easier for them to bond with you.  That's a good thing.
