my computer was recently restored and i lost my songs on my itunes library. so how do i sync my ipod without replacing all the songs? i mean, i went to options on my ipod and clicked "manually manage songs" but i can't figure out what to do from there. i still click sync and a box pops up telling me that all my existing content on my ipod wil be replace with what's in my itunes, and i don't want to do that.

  1. use ur ipod as a hardrive and rip the songs onto a folder on ur HD. when u do that u can transfer everything over. i did the same thing when i got a new computer.

works great and it keeps all the file names :P enjoy!

  2. put your library songs onto a blank cd for backup, then sync your ipod, once you have done that you can just pop the songs off the cd straight into your library and back onto your ipod.

  3. are your songs stillon your ipod? if so, re-download itunes and sync it. if that box stillcomes up, contact itunes.

  4. Try to log into your Itunes account w/ ur name and password. Something similar to this just happened to me, I contacted apple and they sent me a link to this page and it helped me get all my songs back.
