  1. Before you retire your old Yahoo ID, follow these steps to make sure you transfer ownership of your Group to your new Yahoo ID.  First, sign in to the Yahoo Groups web site with your new ID and have that ID join your Group.  Then sign out of your new ID, followed by signing in to your old ID.  With your old ID, go to your Group's web site, then click Members on the left-hand side of the page.  Then find your new ID in the list of members.  When you've found it, click the Edit Membership link (pencil icon) just below your new ID.  Then, in the Membership Privilieges section, click on Change To Owner.  Follow the directions on the resulting screen, making sure you give all Moderator Privileges to your new ID.

After you've completed all the above steps, then you can retire your old ID.

  2. you'd need to sign into that new ID and join your group, once you join, log into the old ID and appoint the new member (you) to owner- click edit membership below new ID- click Make Owner- folow steps. then you can delete the old ID.
