  1. You'll get a check in the mail shortly...I can't remember if it's $20 or $50 they pay per day of jury duty in MA....Your employer gets nothing.

  2. I don't know the rate in Mass,, but you're probably entitled to about $15 or $20. your employer is entitled to absolute squat, nada, nothing.

  3. Most states pay a minimum amount of money for jury service.  If your employer pays you your salary for that day, he is usually entitled to that pay since he also paid you as did the state.

Check with the jury service commission in your state for the most recent law regarding jury service payment.

  4. you are entitled to what the state pays for jury service per day, period.

  5. normally you would be entitled to compensation for lost wages---statutes and rules vary from state to state so you might want to call the clerk of court of the court where you served and inquire about the exact compensation due you, and ask what your employer is entitled to(if the employer is entitled to anything!!)

  6. I am presuming you meant "served" not severd

If your employer paid you for the day, then yes, your check for service should be endorsed and given to your employer.  Any money you receive for mileage is yours.

The going rate is about $15 a day.
