like he exempted me from my exam. the thing is i have a C in there with one absence. you can only get exempt if you have a C and no absences. i guess he just made a mistake. if he realized he made this mistake, i wouldn't get a 0 for my exam would I?

  1. Even if he doesn't recognize this mistake (which he just might), the office may when they submit grades and they can give you a 0.

Cover your butt, and be honest.

Also, if you have a C, there is definite room for improvement, so take the test and try to improve your grade!

  2. Sounds to me that you have a guilty conscience.   Be sure that somehow, some way you will pay for this if you don't bring it to the teacher's knowledge.   We teachers are not perfect and it is not to your advantage to take advantage of that fact.   When he is averaging grades and looking over records for the last quarter, do you want to be "found out" that way?   Teachers work many more hours than we are paid for every day.   Please don't knowing add to his grief but putting him the position to have to give you a 0.

  3. Well if you ignored it and he finally realized his mistake, and you told him you didn't realize it had happened, you could probably get out of the trouble ... but it's not the right thing to do, and I think you know that - otherwise you wouldn't be asking this right now.

You should just go tell him. Maybe if he respects your honesty he won't make you take it after all. But this is all a moral issue. This is the good thing to do, but the other side is the easy thing.

Make the right choice .. you know what it is. :]

  4. Buddy, if that was me it wouldn't even be a question.

the school year is almost done. I would say to wait it out he probably won't notice at all. if he does just say WHAT no i didnt. Hmmm Hmm oh waiitt. Oh yeahhhh i did.

Act clueless. it always works with me handing in my essays a week late.

  5. I wouldn't mention it because its not your job to be keeping track administrative errors. If you are sure he made a mistake, then you can always claim ignorance - just say, "I didn't realise."
