Question:

I signed a document and dated it using the European style of day, month, year. They voided the document?

I live in the U.S. and I dated the document as day, month, year. Like they do in Europe. They voided the document because the date was wrong. Obviously it wasn't wrong, I just used a different method of dating. I'm not sure though - Considering that America uses a different dating system - were they right to reject my document - or are they making a big deal over nothing.

Thanks

  1. They are able to void the document because of that misunderstanding.

If you are in a position to contact them and explain yourself, do that and see if they will let you try again. This is something that can probably be fixed with a simple phone call.
