She takes the spoonful, but turns her head in defiance and stares at me out of the corner of her eye, and will sit there with the same MOUTHFUL for 1/2 hour. Stuffed so full she fake gags to spit it out. Parents want me to feed lunch & dinner. Ex:Mixed yogurt w/cottage cheese, she sucked out the yogurt around the curds and refused to swallow the curds!

  1. Either she's just learned a few tricks in getting what she wants, or she just doesn't like the taste. So, if it's veggies you can't get her to eat ,mix them with fruit etc.  Also, mixed yogurt with cottage cheese, I wouldn't eat that either..

  2. Kids will not go hungry!!......Known fact. Let her feed herself, even if its with her hands. She will pick at the stuff she likes and she will chew and swallow it, only if she wants to. Don't try and force a child/baby to eat. Cut up cooked veggies into very small squares and let her eat them herself. Tell her parents she doesn't like the yogurt and the cottage cheese.

  3. I recommend you high tail it over to the Newborn and Baby subcategory over in the Pregnancy main category.  They'll have a wealth of advice for you.

P.S.  Have you asked the parents about this?  Is she just doing it to you or how do they feed her???
