I ski, and i was just wondering how to grind on rails and what would be good twin tipped skis for me?

I am a intermediate skiier and i really want to know how to grind on rails and what would be good twin tipped skis for me.

  1. Rails are tricky and if you are intermidiate don't do freestyle yet. I suggest getting a season pass somewhere next year and working at hard on being a good expert level skiier.

          For Rail Imagine like you are running up and jumping on a skateboard for the take off. It helps to get a cheap skateboard and a balance board. Just run as fast as you can and jump and twist your body 90 sideways on the rail (You can do more difficult stuff as you progress.). After mastering the take off it is all balance. As I mentioned a balance board is good to have. When on your balance board just have your feet  both facing  forward up the board and ballance. The ballance is PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE!!!


  2. start off on a box low to the ground then just work your way up to narrower more difficult rails and most of all never ever ever lean back or else it will hurt...bad and a good twin tip ski for you is probably and salomon twin tip

  3. Practice.

    It's really hard and you hurt yourself alot with rails, trust me. It's hard to explain. Watch someone else do it, then try...
