  1. It is good and a very good start, and you should keep up the good work.

Dont let this offend you, but there are 3 year olds who can go down blacks.  What defines you as a "good" skier isnt the type of runs you go down, but the form you have going down them, How confident and comfortable you are, the speed you go down them at, and how well you manage sudden changes in the run like ice or a rock you didnt see until the last second.

  2. better than I could do...

  3. Well its impossible to answer because we don't know what the black diamond was...some are easier then others. Still, if you believe in your heart that you are doing great and you are continuing to improve, that is all that matters.

  4. Blacks at one mountain are completely different from blacks at another mountain. Well that sounded awfully racist but.... you know what I mean.

If the blacks are anything like my mountain, that's pretty good going.

  5. if you looked like c**p then it doesn't mean jack. it means you had guts. period.

  6. This above average for most never evers, it's about the right schedule with a top instructor and reasonable snow conditions. Each run is rated to others in the same resort.  I have my students on a beginners chair in about 1-2 hours if their equipment fits and they have a reasonable amount of coordination and fitness.

5 straight days of lessons and they should be on  easy black runs.

  7. That's pretty good for someone with only 1 week of experience.  Keep skiing- it's the best sport on earth.
