  1. It's common for the first few periods to be few and far between.  It's normal.  It takes a few years to become regular (if you do).  You have nothing to worry about.

  2. A lot of people when they first start having their period are very irregular for the first year or two--meaning, you don't have a regular period every 28-31 days.  Sometimes you will skip as much as 6 months between periods.  As you get older and your hormones start to balance out, you will start to have a normal cycle.

It has to do with the amount of estrogen in your system--as you start to produce more of the hormone, things will balance out and you will be more regular.

Some teens take a longer time than others for their hormones to balance out.  Taking birth control, like the Pill, can help you regulate your hormones.  Birth control can also help if you have long periods, extremely heavy bleeding, or really bad cramps (which can all be caused by your estrogen being out of wack).

Don't panic--things are supposed to be a little bit weird at first.  Talking to a nurse, doctor, or female that you trust can help a lot. All women go through it--talk to an adult female about it.

  3. Well hun, if you havent had s*x you dont have anything to worry about. If you keep worrying about it then you definitely wont start again. its all in your head.

  4. this happend to me aswell hun i didnt have myn 4 about 4 months you periods arnt regular yet they will sort them self out tho

  5. Its because youve only just started to have periods

    They will be irregular

Dont worry they should settle :)

  6. You are only irregular, and just starting out.

I was irregular from age 11 to age 18, and only got regulated then because I got on birth control.  You could be irregular for a few years or your entire life.

  7. its happening to me too idk wat it is and i dont wanna tell my mom and im still a virgin and i missed it for a month maybe it will come later on this month

  8. wHEN YOU FIRST GET IT YOU WILL SKIP MONTHS THATS OK! IT IS PROBALLY BECAUSE YOU ARE STRESSED!

  9. It's normal to miss a period...your getting into a usual cycle..

    don't worry.

Talk toy uor mum/sibling if you havve a problem or try beinggirl.com

  10. It happens a lot. I had that happen to me too when I started.

I wouldn't worry. Just wait for it to come again.

  11. I honestly don't know, but my sister had the same thing and she went on birth control?

But you're very young and since it was the first one you said... So maybe once you first get it you don't get it every month?

  12. This can happen is called irregular periods basically its when your periods are not on time like every month its really nothing to worry about be thankful its not every month yet your body is still changing {mother of 3 } good luck honey and stop worrying xx

  13. it's normal for your period to stop and start when you first get it.

you're periods might miss a few month then come back and be really irregular, this will happen for a year or 2 then it'll start to come around the same time every month.

don't worry, everyone gets it :)!

  14. You just started your period so it's not too big of a problem. When I started my period, I used to skip months & had no idea what was going on. When I finally got my period, it would last longer than the usual period days.

    Don't worry too much.
