I sleep better during the day. I'm not a vampire and I don't have jet lag. What's the deal?

It seems weird to me. Maybe someone can enlighten me. Ever since I was 15 or 16, I've just slept better or more during daylight hours. I haven't traveled to a places that more than four hours time difference. So I don't know what to think anymore.

If you have any ideas what's going on or if you have tips on how to fall asleep, I'm all ears!

  1. I have the same problem, even till now. But what ive found out about the problem is, I sleep very late, about 2am and feel sleepy during the day.

What i can recommend is, sleep early and wake up early, and don't give in to your temptations of afternoon naps.

Because if you do, you will not be able to sleep at night and be staring at the ceiling for an hour or two just waiting to sleep.

Then you will feel tired in the morning again and the vicious cycle will repeat.

  2. ive always been like that. i sleep the best in the day and i love being up and night and i am most energetic at night too. everyone is different so dont worry but if you need to sleep at night try taking some tylenol pm or something. but me. im up till 4am sometimes l8tr then i go to bed. so your not alone!

  3. wake upp really early!! DONT take a nap during the day, and go to sleep early! i have the same issues, works for me! good luck! :D

  4. it amy be just your general preference. or your dieting patterns could affect it.

  5. i have always been the same way and it's not that unusual. john travolta is also a night person. we are just on a different time clock, just as there are people who natural rise at four or five in the morning.

if you need to sleep at night for take a sleep aid that contains diphenhydramine which will induce a natural sleep.

  6. Its 'cause your nocturnal.

No but seriously just pull an all dayer.... Stay up and then at night sleep.

If that doesn't help then you may not have this thing in your eye that helps you go to sleep when it is darker.
