I slow cooked diced boneless chicken b*****s for 3 hours on low?

I was wondering if that was enough time so that i could eat it. I already ate it, but I was wondering if that was enough time to cook it.?

  1. I'm assuming this was in a crockpot other wise you were eating chicken leather.


  2. you will be fine,next time don,t use your crock pot for poultry,especially b*****s,they are lean and are better suited to dry heat cooking methods,pan sear and finish in the oven,this will retain the most natural juices and yield a better flavour.slow cooking is best suited for tough cuts of meat that are slowly broken down over time and then they become tender..i,ll bet you had soupy stringy mess..

  3. If the liquid you cooked the chicken in got up to a boil then it is a good chance that your chicken was done.  Diced boneless chicken would cook very quickly so don't worry.

  4. I was going to say "It's absolutely cooked after 3 hrs. & being diced at that" and then I saw your notation about it being cooked in a crock pot.  Now, I'm not sure about my answer.

    Hopefully your dices were very small and the chicken was not 'rubbery'?  Sorry I can't help more.
