I snooker,what is the rule on...?

Question

1) If after potting a red the cue ball is stuck inside the pack with no way of getting out.It is not allowed to foul deliberately so what option does the player have?

2) After potting the pink if it is not possible to get it back on its spot and no other spot is available where does it go?..as close as possible to its own spot but which side?

1,      I believe in that situation you would be allowed to play a deliberate foul, providing you do not gain a massive advantage from where you are leaving the cue ball

2,      The pink ball would be replaced as near to its own spot without creating a touching ball, In between its own spot & the top rail.

1) say if the white is all surrounded by reds, u still hv to play some kind of shot. the ref will call a 'foul' but not 'miss' coz there is no way u can get out of those reds(as the white can jump into a cluster of reds n a 'miss' will only b called if theres a better way to escape from that situation); if there is a gap between those reds that the white can go through, u play through that gap n try to hit a nominated colour.

2)the pink shud b placed as close to its own spot as possible, on the line between blue n black spot, without touching the ball which is occupying the pink spot. as far as i know the pink shud b placed on the 'black spot side' or 'top cushion side'(i dunno much so pls correct me if im wrong).

pls tell me if im wrong coz i dunno ALL the rules...im not dennis taylor..=p...

most of you are correct on the first point , however you've left out one tiny bit of crucial info in #2...the ball always, always spots below(towards the black ball, down table!) the spot no matter which colour is being spotted..Always toward the black ball side of the spot!

1) You must try to play it, assuming it is really stuck you will have a touching ball, you must play away from this ball, if you don't hit any others then hopefully you will just get a foul and not a miss.

2) Usually it would go on the highest spot available, but in your scenario it would just go as close to it's spot as possible. If the ball blocking it is directly on it's spot then it must go directly above this ball as close as possible without touching. Usually it is up to the umpire to make a decision.

the 2nd point.  the pink goes as close to it own spot as it can go without touching any other ball but it has to be in line with the spot directly underneath it (towards the black. depends on how you see the table, could be above or below lol)

the 1st point i dont have a clue.  i think he would have to make the foul but the referee would have to call a foul but wouldnt be able to replace the balls.  not sure on that one though,  never seen it happen

Per your additional question -- It's not up to the ref to make that decision. If you miss, your opponent has the option of playing off of your failed shot, or, if he doesn't like the lay of the balls to put you back in and have the cueball reset to its original position.

1. If, after potting the red, you find yourself stuck in the pack of reds, you must still attempt a colour ball. If you foul, you can be charged with both a "foul" and a "miss." Your opponent can then request that you be put right back in the same position and continue until you finally strike a colour ball.

If you pot a colour ball, but it's place is covered (and all other colour spots are also covered) then it is placed as close to its own spot as possible.
