i sold it because it would not play my games anymore. When i told my dad he got mad. He told me i could of change the optical drive and it would of been good as new. Did i make a mistake selling my ps2?. I dont have enough money to get a ps3

  1. well if youre not too big on brand new games it might have been a mistake. i still use my ps2, and i dont have any of the new systems. but anyway, you can always buy another ps2, theyre relatively cheap on ebay or craigslist.

  2. Yeah big mistake I dont know about the optical drive change but you could have put a hard drive in it and played your games off of that. The load times off of a hard drive are unbelievably fast I play all my games from the hdd just bc I dont have to wait on the load screens.

  3. Do you know how to change the optical drive or do you know anyone who can change it?  Can your Dad do this?  If not then don't worry about it.  Just buy another used one.  I cried for a little bit after I sold my PS2.  But a year later and I now have a PS3 no big deal anymore

  4. I think give it time to raise some money.  You'll get the ps3, get to play your games again and get to play ps3 games.  That way the guilt will go away and you get an upgraded system.  Besides, there's nothing you can do about the ps2 incident now.  Just gotta move forward you know?  The best bet is just wait until you raise some money and buy a ps3
